Remember when we had Lily tested for a milk allergy not so long ago? It came back negative, but we kept her on soy milk for a few weeks and then slowly transitioned her back to cow's milk? Yeah. This week we finally started completely whole milk. Maybe 3 days ago.
Last night, she woke up about an hour after falling asleep, crying with terrible gas. This was very familiar, but we hadn't dealt with it in a month or two. Are you getting the connection? Finally back on milk and the gas problems are back. It took us about 2 seconds to decide to put her back on soy.
Welcome back Silk.
Easy decision really. She can still eat other dairy with no problem: yogurt, cheese, butter, etc. She was already drinking different milk from all of us anyway because she needed whole. Soy milk is a little more expensive, but worth it because it stops the tummy problems. I swear, people weren't kidding when they said that your second child could be completely different from your first.
