By now, you have surely heard the horrific news story that happened here last night. We had a line of storms pass through that was preceded by crazy wind gusts. A gust that is predicted to have been up to 70 mph toppled a stage at a concert at the State Fair (but the same wind gust didn't hit the midway). Here is a link to a local news story about it:
We were just there Friday night, as you know, from the Night Glow pictures. We had a fabulous time and we still plan on going back later this week. They are closed today for obvious reasons, and are reopening tomorrow with a prayer service.
Let me share some of the positive of the Fair. Let's find some silver lining...
All Abby wanted was a corndog.... and she got one!
Lily's favorite was what she called, Daddy's drink, but it was really a Lemon Shakeup.
I indulged in some corn and mini-doughnuts. The girls and I also had some cotton candy. We have to come back because I simply did not get enough food. Next visit I HAVE to find the fried veggies/cheese stand, and we have to visit the Dairy Barn.
For some more State Fair lovin' and great pictures, visit this blog- here is the link to her post today, but here is the link to some great pictures (which she links to in her post today also). The pictures were too good not to share.
