So, Lily and I are slowly get back used to life with Abby at school. This morning for the first time she slept through Abby getting ready and getting on the bus. She happened to be in our bed (Matt's was out of town last night for work) so I went in and crawled back in bed with her when I got back from the bus stop and fell back asleep with her. It was nice to snuggle in.
We've been staying busy so far. This is the first day we don't have anything planned to do. Yesterday, we went in and had lunch with Abby at her school. I should never tell Lily about this ahead of time because it is all she talks about ALL morning. She asks if it is time about every 30 seconds. Literally.
Last week, we tried out her new big girl swing on our playset. We decided to switch out the baby swing. She felt like hot stuff on the new swing and loved it. Something about that little body and cute little legs hanging on that big swing. She just looks so cute.
I posted this picture on Facebook yesterday, but it is so funny, I thought it deserved a space on my blog. Yesterday morning we pulled out sweatshirts for the walk to the bus stop because it was about 60 degrees. Well, in those same baskets, are all the hats and mittens and I guess it got her going because much later in the day (after Abby got home from school), she decided she needed a hat and mittens. She put them all on by herself - backwards hat and all.
And then proceeded to stay like that for quite a while, as you can tell... (they were watching Rio)...
