These were so easy.... we have been so busy and when we weren't the weather was crummy, so we haven't played with them in water yet, but the girls can't wait. My sister sent me this link for the detailed Martha Stewart directions, but here are my pictures of the steps.
You take your basic kitchen sponge in fun colors and draw draw lines to divide into half inch strips:
Cut with scissors:
Stack them up in 3 rows (mixing up the colors), with string ready to tie off:
Tie string tightly and it just pops into a cool ball on it's own. You can adjust if you need to after you knot it off tightly, but I didn't really need to:
Fun! A bucket of water or pool, and swimsuits are calling!
