A Friday Update

This morning the girls and I trekked outside to clip some lavender from our front yard garden. We tied bundles of it up with string and are hanging it to dry. While we were out we looked at all the flowers that are exploding in color in our yard. They are beautiful and I haven't done a thing to them.

Yesterday we made it downtown to the annual Strawberry Festival on the Circle. It was yummy, though I wasted quite a bit of money because Lily didn't touch hers and Abby really only ate the ice cream. Oh well. Mine was good. :)

A favorite Captiva Picture

We got a call yesterday that our pictures are ready to view from our session on the beach last week- the one where we all wore white. I am super excited. I have to call and schedule it today. You do it over the phone and computer. Meanwhile, I will share a favorite picture of mine. I still haven't really edited any of mine because I haven't decided what I am going to do with them yet.

This is in front of the South Seas (Resort) T-Dock. It is very pretty and picturesque as you can tell. I can't get enough of this picture. I have it as my wallpaper on my iPad. Love it.

I hope to have more to share with you soon!

The Big Recital

Saturday was Abby's big recital. I have to admit that I stole all these pictures from my ballet Mom friends. I didn't take a single picture myself. I was bad this year.

She had two numbers. Her tap number was "Forever Your Girl" by Paula Abdul and it had a part where the fathers came in and danced with them. It was a crowd pleaser.

(Abby is fourth from the left)

(The next couple pictures she is the third from left)

The second half of the show (though shorter half), is the ballet portion. It was "Beauty and the Beast" this year. Abby and her classmates were the Feather Dusting Maids. They danced during the song "Be Our Guest." There are also some backstage pictures.

(Abby is right next to Belle on the far right. She actually made it to her spot on time! It was a lot farther to run than in the studio!)

Beach Pictures

We had professional pictures taken on the beach at sunset last night. It was a perfect evening. We all wore white and we are very optimistic that they are going to turn out beautiful.

While we waited, I snapped a couple with my phone to share. I put a couple on Facebook, but I also really like this one...
