Good Shoes

In preparation for our vacation to Disney World in mid-May, I have been doing way too much thinking about shoes. I want us all to have shoes that aren't going to kill our feet, and yet, I'm not a sneaker girl.

  • Funny Story: We were talking about this very issue at dinner tonight and Abby told Matt that he can't wear sneakers because he can't wear socks in the summer. It is too hot. He then told her he was going to wear black knee high socks. Hilarious. She is my daughter.
Okay, back to topic... However, my cheapo flip flops from Old Navy just aren't going to cut it. I have a friend, who has similar taste to mine, that swears by a pair of Crocs sandals that she bought for a vacation a couple of years ago. They don't look too much like Crocs (which for her and I is a bonus) and are super comfy. What do you think?
Pretty cute, right? Basic and not bright pink and orange (and I actually like the purple footbed part). I think I could like them. The only problem is the only place I can find them is eBay. The Crocs website is out of my size in the non-obnoxious colors (By the way, in case you're curious, they are called the Cleo). I think they are probably discontinuing them. I looked today at a couple places at the mall, so that I could at least try them on and no one had them in stock. Bummer. So, do I just trust and buy them on eBay? I don't want to waste money, but if I end up loving them as much as my friend, R, then they'll be worth it. Hmmm. And, how do I convince Matt that I need more shoes? (that is probably the hardest part, right?)

What do you think?

EDITED TO ADD: I just ordered them on eBay this morning!

Easter Bunny Fail

Every Easter the Easter Bunny visits our home and leaves the girls baskets filled with all kinds of goodies. The Easter Bunny uses this as an opportunity to not just give candy, but also non-candy gifts. This year the girls each got a book, fancy crayons, and candy. Being that candy is just a small part of the basket, there are only a couple types. This year, apparently, the bunny failed on his selections of candy.
The bunny was in a hurry while shopping for candy and couldn't find peanut butter eggs (and actually he thinks they were sold out), and so took a gamble and bought some Cadbury Cream Eggs. It seems that some four year old don't care for those.

He knew that a certain four year old LOVES Peeps, so he picked pink (her favorite color) bunny peeps. Score, right? Nope, apparently, she doesn't like how the pink ones taste. What?!?! They taste the same as the yellow!!!

Luckily, he threw in some Robin's Eggs at the last minute as a filler, because that and the chocolate bunny were the only things she liked.

And, just because it's fun, here is my favorite Easter candy commercial. Cracks me up...

Happy Easter!

And, just for fun, here is one of last year's picture. Haven't they grown so much?

Things that are new

2 new things at our house as of the last few days...

New kitchen table (which we love). Abby loves the picnic bench side.

New haircut for Miss Lily, because we couldn't stand it hanging in her eyes anymore! She cried the whole time, but luckily her stylist was quick. Doesn't she look more like a little girl now? No more baby here!

I've been a bad blogger

I'm feeling like a bad blogger. I haven't updated in a bit, and I have stuff I could blog about. The problem is that I keep not taking pictures, so the entries would be very boring. I'm hoping to work on the picture thing a bit in the next 48 hours. I mean, cute girls in cute Easter dresses just screams pictures, right? We're also dying eggs today, so that will mean pictures.

Until then, check out this blog entry. I thought it was beautiful and rather than copy it, I'll just send you there!

More soon...
