I couldn't help myself. I'm still playing around with Picnik. That's hilarious. (I'm a terrible mother) Abby and I had a good laugh.

New Photo Software
I want to tell you about a new photo editing website I recently heard about it. It is called Picnik. It has a free account that has lots you can do to your pictures. It seems really cool and I'm looking forward to playing around with it more. The thing I like about it so far (and really the only thing I've tried) is that you can put text on pictures. AND, most important, it isn't tricky. You don't have to know Photoshop to be able to understand it. Here are a few of my practice pictures...

Random Ramblings
Some some random thoughts for you on this post...
Yesterday, Abby kept an eye on Lily while I took a shower (not an unusual occurrence) and Lily fell asleep (again, not unusual). However, you know how you hear about babies falling asleep in funny places because they are so tired? This isn't all that funny of a place, but it struck me as funny anyway. Just in the middle of the walkway, crashed out.
On Sunday, we decided to have a snacky dinner. Matt really liked my brilliant idea from a while back of putting different things in a muffin tray and chowing down. He was funny. He was very proud of how it looked when he finished, so he ran to get the camera and take a picture. You'd be amazed at how many things you can think of to fill it up. I thought it would be hard to fill up the first time we did it. Nope!
And, last but not least, today Abby got a haircut! She picked the pink car to sit in. We made a deal that we weren't going to cut it super short, because she still wanted to be able to have ponytails and braids and such. That sounded fair, but we still cut off about 2 inches. It doesn't look crazy different, but just very well kept. She was up for going to get it cut as long as she could get a balloon (which is Cookie Cutters practice). In the car on the way, she asked me what grownups get if they are "good girls" when they get their haircut. Isn't that funny that she thought that we still get something fun when we grow up? Maybe we should.

An evening trip to the Zoo
Thursdays in the summer, our local zoo hosts what they call, "Animals and all that Jazz." They have a jazz band that plays in the center of the zoo, and they keep the animal exhibits open later than normal. Usually they close at 5 or 6, but on these nights they are open several hours later.
We decided to go this Thursday. Almost every Thursday we talk about going, but usually something comes up or it is raining. This week, we made it. We didn't really listen to the jazz, but just made it a family night of animals. We had a great time and topped off our evening with pizza. Fun times.
Abby and Matt attempting to pet a dog shark.
Being that Abby is a small fry, she needs some assistance from Daddy.
Lily, being incredibly patient, while Abby pets sharks.
Carousel ride! This is what Abby picked to ride first, and then...
Ahhh, Dinner was late. We were hungry.
We look ragged, but were so happy to be eating pizza and breadsticks!

A Reader
Our pediatrician gives kids a free book at their "well" appointments, and apparently that starts at 6 months, so Lily got her first book. She is already a reader! (actually, she just wants to eat it, but same difference, right?)
Also, for those of you who are interested she is 18 lb. 1 oz., and 25 1/2 in. tall. Abby also had her 4 year old appointment and is 30.4 lb., and 36 1/2 in. tall. Beautiful, healthy girls, yet couldn't be more different!

Bear Attack
This is Abby being attacked by a bear:
...and the rescue...
(Matt had no interest in being on my video, as you can tell from his face, but it was hilarious and he had been doing it when I didn't have a camera in my hand.)

And now there are 2!
Teeth, that is. Poor Lily had a really rough afternoon yesterday. Matt and I were sure it was teething, and yet there was only so much we could do. She was constantly chewing on her hands, drooling a ton, crying, didn't want to eat, and even spitting up drool. We ran out and bought her some Orajel and teething rings, on top of keeping her on Tylenol every 4 hours. ...and then, lo and behold, I checked her mouth after dinner, and she now has 2 teeth! It must have cut sometime between 2:00-7:00. Her mood instantly improved and she was a happy camper. She had a hard time settling down for bedtime, I'm sure it was because of her rough day, so I just held her until she drifted off. Sweet baby.

thump thump thump
Thump
Thump
Thump
Thump
That is what I woke up to this morning. What was it, you ask? It was Lily slamming her feet into her bed, while laying on her back. I guess at least she didn't wake up crying, right?

Teeth! -with a picture!
I haven't officially posted this, but Lily has a tooth!! She officially cut it the week before she turned six months. So big! It is her right center bottom tooth. Her left one is just about to cut, I swear that I can see it. When we noticed that it had finally cut (she's been working on it forever), Abby and I clapped and cheered and Lily just grinned at us like she knew she was a big girl now.
*EDITED TO ADD*
If you look closely, you can see the white glimmer of her tooth. As I type, I think she has to be cutting the other one because she has been chewing on her hands all night and gushing drool- more than normal.
...and can't leave out "Wild Child Abby":
